A race like no other is coming. On May 17, a special edition of the ORLEN Lang Team Race will take place in the picturesque surroundings of Hotel Arłamów. Alongside amateur cyclists, stars such as Czesław Lang, Dariusz Baranowski, Lechosław Michalak, Henryk Charucki, Jan Faltyn, and Krzysztof Sujka will also line up at the start.
The ORLEN Lang Team Race is a series of events that for years has been attracting cycling enthusiasts competing in amateur races. This year’s first opportunity to pin on a race number will be on May 17 at Hotel Arłamów.
It’s in the Bieszczady Mountains where this year’s first edition of the ORLEN Lang Team Race will be held. The race will start and finish at Hotel Arłamów, with a route leading through the beautiful forests and hills of the Podkarpacie region, including well-known climbs from the Tour de Pologne, such as Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pacławska.
The race in Arłamów and its surroundings will have a special character, as not only amateurs but also icons of Polish cycling, led by Czesław Lang — Olympic silver medalist — will participate. On May 17, he will be celebrating his 70th birthday and will join the race to mark the occasion!
“This will be a very special edition of the ORLEN Lang Team Race. On the day of the race, I’ll be celebrating my 70th birthday, and I want to make a little surprise for every participant by riding together with them. We’ll invite great cycling champions like Darek Baranowski, Krzysztof Sujka, Lechosław Michalak, Jan Faltyn, Henryk Charucki, and many, many others. We will start from Hotel Arłamów and return there as well, but along the way we’ll pass places like Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pacławska. It will be great fun” says Czesław Lang, General Director of Lang Team.
The May ORLEN Lang Team Race promises to be a true cycling celebration. It will be a unique opportunity to race alongside athletes who have written their names in the history books of the sport.
On May 17, Hotel Arłamów will become the capital of Polish cycling not only because of the ORLEN Lang Team Race but also due to the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix for the best cyclists under 23 from around the world.
