There is no doubt that in the coming days, Hotel Arłamów will become the cycling capital of Poland. In addition to three stage finishes of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, on Saturday it will host the first edition of this year’s ORLEN Lang Team Race – a unique event for amateur cyclists. Alongside passionate two-wheelers, Czesław Lang – General Director of Lang Team and Saturday’s birthday celebrant – will also take part!
On Saturday, May 17, hundreds of amateur riders will compete in the first of three stages of the ORLEN Lang Team Race series. Just like last year, the race will take place on a scenic route, well known from events such as the Tour de Pologne or the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix. Cycling legends will join the peloton, led by Czesław Lang, who will be celebrating his 70th birthday!
“This will be a special edition of the ORLEN Lang Team Race. On race day I’ll be celebrating my 70th birthday, so I’d like to surprise every participant by riding together with them. We’ll invite great cycling champions like Darek Baranowski, Krzysztof Sujka, Lechosław Michalak, Jan Faltyn, Henryk Charucki, and many more. Together we’ll start from Hotel Arłamów and return there, but first we’ll pass through places like Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pacławska. It will be great fun” says Czesław Lang.

The amateur cyclists will compete over a distance of 75 kilometers, starting and finishing at Hotel Arłamów. Along the way, riders will twice tackle the iconic Bieszczady loop with demanding climbs in Kalwaria Pacławska and Gruszowa. Saturday’s race will also be a visual feast – the entire route winds through picturesque Bieszczady roads.
On Tuesday, Czesław Lang completed a reconnaissance of the route – by bike.
“I still love cycling. I’ve just returned from Arłamów, where I rode the final route of the race. I started at Hotel Arłamów, passed through Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pacławska, and returned to Arłamów – this is the loop we’ll ride as amateurs” says the 1980 Olympic silver medalist.
Hotel Arłamów – the heart of the first stage of the ORLEN Lang Team Race – is a remarkable place that, in the coming days, will be pulsating with cycling energy. In addition to the ORLEN Lang Team Race, the steep climb in Arłamów will host the finish of three stages for young riders competing in the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix.
Hotel Arłamów’s commitment to promoting cycling and a healthy lifestyle is part of its philosophy – ArłaMOVE. The hotel boasts extensive sports facilities and offers guests the chance to enjoy more than 30 disciplines in the magical Bieszczady Mountains.
The combination of sporting passion, a special birthday atmosphere, and breathtaking landscapes will make the ORLEN Lang Team Race, starting at Hotel Arłamów, something more than just a competition. It promises to be a true cycling celebration!
