Exceptional ORLEN Lang Team Race at Hotel Arłamów

The exceptional ORLEN Lang Team Race in Arłamów is behind us. The first edition of this year’s amateur cycling race series took place in the beautiful scenery of the Bieszczady Mountains. The event had a special atmosphere, as it also celebrated the 70th birthday of Czesław Lang, General Director of Lang Team. The birthday honoree — along with other legends of Polish cycling — took part in the race!

On Saturday, Hotel Arłamów became the cycling capital of Poland. Before young riders finished here for the third time in the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, the roads of Bieszczady were filled with hundreds of amateurs taking part in the ORLEN Lang Team Race. The colorful peloton also featured cycling icons, led by Czesław Lang, who was celebrating his 70th birthday.

In addition to the birthday celebrant, participants included Henryk Charucki, Jan Faltyn, Dariusz Baranowski, and Lechosław Michalak — the latter two even competed for victories in their respective age categories!

We witnessed thrilling competition in each of the numerous categories. Amateur cyclists demonstrated great determination on steep climbs and a shared passion for two wheels. In the men’s open classification, Dawid Nytko (MPCC Team) took the win, followed by Marcin Karbowy (Walbet Team) and Wojciech Szczepanik (Ośka Warszawa). Among the women, the top performers were Sonia Cięciel (MPCC Team), Marta Motylewska (ORLEN) and Kornelia Mikołajewska (Walbet Team).

Detailed results in all age categories can be found on the website:

The competition in Arłamów was a great opportunity to promote an active lifestyle, aligning with the philosophy of Hotel Arłamów – #ArłaMOVE. The shared ride and sporting atmosphere created an unforgettable experience for every participant – regardless of age or skill level.

“We use our name and write Arłamów with ‘MOVE’, meaning ‘get moving’ in English. The infrastructure here is so well-prepared that the sports facilities outsize the hotel ones. We have 240 hectares of land, with sports activities everywhere. There’s wild nature, three nature reserves on the hotel’s edge, and the cleanest air in Poland” said Michał Kozak, CEO of Hotel Arłamów.

Thanks to top-tier organization and the presence of Czesław Lang and other great figures of Polish cycling, participants could feel the spirit of great sporting tradition. For many, it was a chance to meet their idols, take a photo together, have a chat – and most importantly, to ride side by side with legends. This unique atmosphere proved that the ORLEN Lang Team Race is more than just a race!

It’s also worth highlighting the involvement of the ORLEN Group, who not only supported the event organizationally but also actively took part in the competition and were ranked in an internal classification!

More amateur races organized by Lang Team are coming soon. On August 9, the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs will take place at BUKOVINA Resort, and on September 13 in Bytów, riders will line up for the next ORLEN Lang Team Race.
