Cofidis has long been committed to supporting and promoting cycling. The distinctive jerseys of the team bearing the same name are seen in the biggest races around the world and are instantly recognizable to any cycling fan. Cofidis has consistently backed Polish initiatives as well – including the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, and this year the company has also become a partner of the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs.
Races organized by Lang Team have for years been a global brand. The Tour de Pologne is one of only 15 stage races included in the prestigious UCI WorldTour calendar, while the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs – the Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial – attracts thousands of cycling enthusiasts to the route each year. At the core of organizing top-level races lies collaboration with trusted partners.
Since 2018, the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour has been partnering with the Polish branch of the international Cofidis Group. The company, which offers car loans, leasing, and flexible cash and installment financing, is known for its investments in cycling. Cofidis is a partner of the world’s largest cycling races, supports both men’s and women’s professional teams, and also backs athletes with disabilities.
– Cycling is simply our passion. It’s more than just a sport – it’s a philosophy that closely aligns with the values of Cofidis. That’s why it’s been a key pillar of our marketing strategy for years. It’s a discipline that teaches perseverance, teamwork, trust, and pushing beyond one’s limits – exactly the traits we value in our relationships with clients. Our engagement in cycling is both international and long-term. Cofidis France supports the legendary Tour de France, Cofidis Italy – the Giro d’Italia, and Cofidis Spain – La Vuelta. In Poland, we’ve proudly partnered with the Tour de Pologne for eight years, supporting one of the most important sporting events in the region. Since 1996, we’ve sponsored the professional Team Cofidis, which since 2023 includes a Polish rider – Stanisław Aniołkowski. Our commitment also embraces diversity – since 2021 we’ve supported both a women’s team and para-cyclists. In 2009, Cofidis established a sports center for para-athletes, providing people with disabilities the opportunity to train at a high level in professional conditions. This is more than just a sports presence – it’s an investment in emotion, relationships, and inspiration – said Anita Makowska, Marketing, Data and Customer Experience Director at Cofidis.
– I’m very pleased that Cofidis – a well-known name in cycling internationally – sees an opportunity to promote its operations and image through sport and the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The company is the title sponsor of the team that includes Stanisław Aniołkowski, and I’m glad that, seeing the potential of the Tour de Pologne, they are keen to work with us – emphasized Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne.
The 82nd edition of the Tour de Pologne will take place from August 4 to 10 and will, as always, attract the world’s top teams to the start line – including Cofidis, whose lineup features former Polish national champion Stanisław Aniołkowski. The race will be broadcast on TVP and Eurosport, as well as the streaming platform MAX, reaching fans in 65 countries and promoting Poland, cycling, and the race’s partners worldwide.
– Our cooperation with the Tour de Pologne is more than a business partnership – it’s a shared journey built on trust, values, and a passion for cycling. Since 2018, we’ve been part of an event that not only promotes world-class sport but also brings people together and inspires generations. Year by year, our cooperation develops naturally – and we’re proud to see the Tour de Pologne growing in strength. It’s a true joy to support an event with such a strong international profile, yet one so close to the hearts of Polish fans and cycling enthusiasts. We’re excited for this year’s edition and the emotions it will bring on the road! – said Anita Makowska.
The August cycling festival is not only about the elite race – it also includes many other events. Among them is the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs – the Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial – which from this year is also supported by Cofidis. The amateur race will take place on August 9 on a scenic and demanding route from BUKOVINA Resort to the Rusin-Ski station. Cofidis will also provide gifts for the youngest cycling enthusiasts competing in the Tour de Pologne Junior, including cycling caps, bike pouches, tire levers, and gel cooling packs.
– By supporting the Tour de Pologne Amateurs, Cofidis shows that sport is not just about competition – it’s a path to personal growth and achieving one’s goals. Promoting an active lifestyle, perseverance, and passion fits perfectly with our mission of helping people strive for independence – both financial and personal. We believe everyone has the right to pursue their own path, and amateur sport is one area where character and determination truly matter. That’s why we’re proud to be part of this unique initiative – concluded Anita Makowska.
