A celebration of cycling at BUKOVINA Resort – Preview of the ORLEN TdP Amateurs

This is the day amateur cyclists wait for all year. On August 9th, the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs – Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial will take place. The peloton will tackle a 49-kilometre route from BUKOVINA Resort to the Rusin-Ski ski station. Along the way, riders will face many demanding climbs!

On Saturday, August 9th, the 15th edition of the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial – a legendary Polish cyclist, four-time Peace Race winner, Olympic medalist, and three-time world champion. Nearly 2,500 riders will gather in Bukowina Tatrzańska and BUKOVINA Resort to face a challenging route and the iconic BUKOVINA Wall climb, where the Decathlon KOM will be located.

The route will be 49 kilometres long, starting at BUKOVINA Resort, with the finish line at the Rusin-Ski station.

“This year, the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs returns to Bukowina Tatrzańska and BUKOVINA Resort. Riders will compete in a fantastic setting and atmosphere on a well-known loop, allowing them to compare their times with previous years. I’m very happy we’ll once again meet cycling enthusiasts, and I hope that afterward we’ll cheer together for the pros racing in the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour” said Czesław Lang, General Director of Lang Team.

The ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs will also be a unique opportunity to meet Robert Kubica, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, known for his passion for cycling. After the race, Robert Kubica will be present in the Stop Cafe zone, where fans will be able to collect autographs and take souvenir photos.

The amateur race will start at 7:30 AM, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 11:30 AM. The race office and bib pick-up will be open starting Thursday.
